This is a community still smelling of fresh paint and sawdust — a brand-new street of David Weekley homes where the model home, The Zander, anchors the block with its soaring almost-20-foot atrium ceiling glowing through tall windows at golden hour. Mornings start quiet: birdsong over the passive park, a jogger looping the sidewalks, kids crossing at the light to Gene Witt Elementary right across the street, backpacks bouncing. By afternoon the cul-de-sacs fill with the low thrum of more homes going vertical — framing, roofing, the percussion of a neighborhood being born — while families who've already closed grill on extended covered lanais, twelve-foot sliders open wide, laminate floors cool underfoot. Evenings are when Eastlyn exhales: neighbors who all moved in within months of each other drift toward the passive park, folding chairs and takeout from the Costco run, kids inventing games on the playground while parents trade contractor stories and compare quartz islands. It's intimate in a way big master plans can't be — nine or so floor plans, one builder, one small circle of streets — and there's a pioneer warmth to it, everyone building the community's character at the same time. The Gulf is 40 minutes west, but the real water here is the resort-blue of the neighbor's new pool, and the real horizon is I-75, humming with the promise of Sarasota dinners and Tampa weekends just close enough to reach.
