Vicinity Affiliate Program Policy
Effective Date: March 19, 2026
Company: Bold Footprint LLC dba vicinity ("Vicinity") · Platform: www.tryvicinity.com
The Vicinity Affiliate Program (the "Program") is designed to reward our partners for promoting transparency in the new construction home market. By participating in the Program, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions, Code of Ethics, and Anti-Fraud Policy.
1. Eligibility & Enrollment
- Approval: Participation in the Program is subject to manual review and approval by Vicinity. We reserve the right to deny or revoke affiliate status if an applicant's professional standing, digital presence, or conduct misaligns with our brand values of transparency and integrity.
- Trial Period Requirement: Referral rewards are deemed "earned" only after the referred user successfully completes their initial trial period and processes their first full monthly subscription payment.
- Active Subscription Required: To be eligible to earn, track, and receive affiliate rewards, you must maintain an active, paid subscription to the Vicinity platform.
2. Qualified Referrals
- A "Qualified Referral" is defined as a new subscriber who has never previously held a Vicinity account.
- Self-Referrals: Creating secondary accounts for yourself, your business entities, or household members using your own affiliate link is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate voiding of rewards.
3. Payment & Reward Rules
- Primary Account Role: Affiliates are eligible only for the reward type associated with their primary account role (e.g., Agent, Builder, or Lender). "Double-dipping" across different reward structures is not permitted.
- Non-Transferable: All platform credits, discounts, and advertising credits hold no external cash value. They cannot be transferred between users, sold, or redeemed for currency outside of the Vicinity ecosystem.
- Processing Time: Upon the successful completion of a referral's trial and first payment, please allow 5 - 7 business days for the reward to be verified and reflected in your Credit Ledger.
- Tax Responsibility: Affiliates receiving cash payments are independent contractors and are solely responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes associated with their earnings.
4. Modification & Termination
Vicinity reserves the right to modify the Program rules or terminate an affiliate account at any time. Vicinity also reserves the unilateral right to terminate an affiliate account and void any pending or historical rewards if fraudulent activity, spamming, ethical violations, or violations of this Policy are detected.
5. Code of Ethics
As a representative of the Vicinity brand, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Full Disclosure: In accordance with FTC guidelines and transparency standards, affiliates must clearly disclose their relationship with Vicinity. All promotional content containing affiliate links must include a disclosure such as: "I may receive a financial benefit if you sign up through this link."
- Honest Representation: Affiliates shall not make exaggerated or false claims regarding Vicinity's features, data accuracy, or guaranteed financial outcomes. Use only company-approved marketing assets provided within the "Marketing" tab of the platform.
- No "Cookie Stuffing": The use of forced redirects, invisible pixels, or misleading link descriptions to drop tracking cookies without a user's intentional click is strictly prohibited.
- Professional & Regulatory Integrity: All affiliates must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) regarding referral fees and advertising.
6. Anti-Fraud Policy
To maintain a fair environment for all partners, the following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate forfeiture of rewards and permanent removal from the Program:
- Bot Traffic: The use of automated scripts, bots, or "click farms" to generate synthetic sign-ups or trial starts is forbidden.
- Disposable Emails: Referrals generated using temporary, "burner," or disposable email services will be flagged and excluded from reward eligibility.
- Search Engine Bidding (PPC): Affiliates may not bid on keywords containing the "Vicinity" trademark or common misspellings (e.g., "Vicinity coupons," "Vicinity login," "Vicinity search") on platforms such as Google Ads, Bing, or social media ad networks.
- Impersonation: You may not create social media profiles, domain names, or websites that mimic the official Vicinity brand identity to deceive users into clicking affiliate links.
- Unauthorized Incentives: You may not offer additional "cash back" or unauthorized incentives to users to sign up through your link without prior written approval from Vicinity.
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk emails (violating the CAN-SPAM Act) or posting referral links in irrelevant public forums or private groups is prohibited.
7. Audit Rights & Governing Law
Vicinity reserves the right to review all Referral Logs and Audit Logs at any time. If suspicious activity is detected, rewards may remain in "Pending" status until verified, which may require the affiliate to provide proof of a legitimate referral.
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising out of or relating to the Program will be resolved through binding arbitration in Florida, except where prohibited by law.
